Associate Dentist Family & Cosmetic Dentistry

Location: Auburn, ME

Schedule: 4day work week. No weekends, no holidays.

Monday - Wednesday (8am - 5pm), Thursday (8am - 2pm)

About the Practice

Our client is a well-established family and cosmetic dental practice serving a diverse patient population in Auburn, ME. With 8 operatories (5 clinical and 3 hygiene), our office integrates modern technology and patient-centered care to deliver high-quality dentistry in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

The practice consistently produces $1.6M annually and cares for patients across all ages and backgrounds, with a strong focus on comprehensive family dentistry.

We are seeking a motivated Associate Dentist to step into an existing patient base and replace a departing provider.

Position Overview

This is a full-time position replacing an outgoing dentist. The ideal candidate is motivated, clinically confident, open to feedback, and able to transition into running the practice independently after an onboarding period.

Schedule

  • Monday - Wednesday: 8:00am5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:00am2:00pm
  • No evenings or weekends required

  • ASAP

Clinical Responsibilities

The Associate Dentist will provide a wide range of dental services, including:

  • Restorative dentistry
  • Extractions
  • Periodontal therapy, including SRP
  • Invisalign (supported with iTero scanning technology)
  • General family and cosmetic dentistry

Not required: Endodontics, implants, sedation, or DEA license.

We offer basic mentorship as needed, but the goal is for the associate to practice independently within a few months.

Patient Load & Workflow

  • Step into a fully established patient base
  • Currently 1 hygienist; recruiting an additional hygienist to support increased demand
  • Strong, steady patient volume across all age groups
  • New patient distribution based on provider availability and clinical needs
  • Supported by a 1:2 dentist-to-assistant ratio , including EFDA support
  • Fully staffed front office and sterilization team
  • Four-handed dentistry practiced
  • Dentrix used for charting and practice management

Technology & Equipment

We utilize advanced dental technology, including:

  • CBCT
  • Digital X-rays
  • iTero scanner for Invisalign
  • Lasers
  • Modern restorative and diagnostic tools

Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a Base Salary with strong earning potential supported by consistent patient flow.

Licensure & Requirements

  • Maine dental license not required at the time of application
  • Must obtain CPR to complete licensure
  • English required
  • No DEA or sedation certification needed
