Job Title: Tariff Import/Export Coordinator
Location: Franklin, TN 37067
Pay Rate: $43–$52/hour (W2 – No Benefits) (based on experience)
Duration: 6 months with potential extension
Work Schedule: Hybrid, On-site 3 days/week
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We’re seeking a Tariff Import/Export Coordinator to support essential import/export operations and ensure compliance across a complex and rapidly evolving tariff landscape. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping international product movement efficient, compliant, and audit-ready.
This is a high-visibility, high-urgency role where your ability to manage details, solve problems, and collaborate cross-functionally will make an immediate impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Validate import documentation for compliance and accuracy.
- Facilitate customs clearance via brokers or self-brokerage processes.
- Identify and assign correct tariff codes (HTS, Schedule B) for all imported/exported products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and troubleshoot challenges.
- Coordinate daily import/export functions with vendors, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
- Resolve issues and discrepancies in customs clearance and documentation.
- Prepare, process, and verify commercial documents for all shipments.
- Audit vendor invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate system data for visibility, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure complete documentation and recordkeeping for audit compliance.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Perform additional duties with adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Operations, or related field.
- Experience with ACE or global customs systems strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations and tariff classifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Skilled in research, analysis, and logical decision-making.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service mindset with a sense of urgency and accountability.
- Proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems, and supply chain software.
