Now Hiring: Medical Lab Scientist III – Miami, FL (Full-Time, Onsite)

Location: Miami, FL 33136

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Rotating Weekends

Pay Rate: $30- $32.69/HR

Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Medical Lab Scientist III to perform complex laboratory testing, ensure quality control, and maintain the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy at UM Health Tower in Miami, FL .

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process samples in the Core Lab
• Perform testing and analysis in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology
• Conduct and document quality control (QC) and maintenance procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, ensuring optimal performance
• Maintain a fast-paced workflow while ensuring accuracy and compliance with CLIA standards

Instrumentation Experience (Preferred):

• Cobas Pro (Chemistry)
• Osmo-Pro (Osmolality)
• Stago R Max Coagulation (Coagulation)
• Sysmex XN Hematology with 9100 and CellaVision (Hematology)
• Sysmex UF (Urinalysis)
• Siemens RapidPoint 500e
• Cepheid GeneXpert (Micro-Molecular)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science (per CLIA standards)
• Valid Florida State License required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Must meet CLIA testing personnel qualifications
• Experience as a Generalist across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis
• Color vision screening required
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Sunquest and UChart (LIS) systems
• Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced lab environments
