Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights

Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12 hrs)

Weekly Guarantee: 36 hours

Weekends: Every other weekend

On-Call: None

Unit: Adult Medical-Surgical

Role: Bedside patient care, assessments, medication administration, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $37.23 – $57.71 (based on experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for a 2-year agreement

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care. This role provides clinical leadership to the patient care team and ensures high-quality, safe, and consistent care delivery during the assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the healthcare team during assigned shifts
  • Coordinate bed assignments and patient care activities to ensure continuity of care
  • Assess patient conditions through direct observation, rounding, and collaboration with team members
  • Analyze assessment data to identify actual or potential patient problems and nursing diagnoses
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Identify expected patient outcomes and evaluate progress toward goals
  • Implement care in alignment with approved safety, quality, and infection control standards
  • Supervise care delivered by other healthcare team members
  • Serve as a positive role model and provide performance feedback to team members
  • Establish effective working relationships with physicians, peers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Utilize appropriate teaching strategies to promote patient education, safety, and wellness
  • Document and communicate patient care and outcomes to physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including communication, teaching, stress management, and team-building education

Submission Requirements:

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
  • Experience:
  • Medical/Surgical experience – Strongly Preferred
  • Certifications: BLS
