Position: Safety Manager
Location: Adamstown, Maryland
Pay Range: $150,000 - $190,000
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience managing safety on large, complex construction projects (data centers, industrial, advanced manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the workforce.
- Proven ability to lead teams and promote a strong safety culture.
- Skilled in identifying hazards and implementing proactive solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction technology tools (Procore, safety apps).
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site safety for major projects, partnering with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and issue corrective actions when needed.
- Manage safety orientations and maintain accurate records.
- Lead safety discussions in preconstruction and subcontractor meetings.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety standdowns, and maintain documentation.
- Collect and manage subcontractor safety plans and certifications.
- Investigate incidents and collaborate on corrective measures.
