Job Description

SkillSetGroup is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to work in the Los Angeles, CA area. This position will be responsible for production safety, workers comp compliance & safety training. The chosen candidate must have experience in high-volume food production & distibution environment. Strong background with worker's compensation, investigation and compliance is also a must. This will be a 1st shift position and a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Title: Safety Manager

Pay: $100-120k/yr., no bonus

Shift: 1st shift, 9am – 6pm, OT as needed (shift has some flexibility)

Job Requirements:

• 8+ years’ experience minimum as a Safety Manager
• OSHA Experience/Background
• HIGH Experience with Workers Compensation
• Able to improve Safety within all departments.
• Able to conduct employee / department training (Pallet Jack, Forklift, GMP, PPE, etc.)
• Highly organized & able to familiarize themselves with the whole Operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Presentations, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
