Materials Coordinator

Pay rate- $20-$22 Per hour

Schedule- 7:00am to 3:30pm

Position Summary

The Material Coordinator plays a key role in supporting production operations by ensuring all job materials, Job Traveler packages, and inventory transactions are accurate and available when needed. This position works closely with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain material flow, resolve discrepancies, and help meet production goals. Strong organizational skills, ERP proficiency, and communication abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all required materials are included with each job order released to production.
• Review material availability and incoming material dates within the ERP system to support scheduling.
• Communicate material needs and shortages to the Warehouse department and Production Supervisor.
• Organize and stage materials to enable efficient workflow on the production floor.
• Verify that all inventory transactions are accurately entered in the ERP system.
• Maintain correct and up‑to‑date inventory counts in all Production Floor Cells.
• Identify and help resolve discrepancies related to back‑ordered materials, DMR items, and BOM errors.
• Partner with Engineering to troubleshoot and correct Bill of Materials inaccuracies.
• Support Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams by participating in process‑control or continuous‑improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in material handling, inventory organization, or production support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic ERP navigation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.

Preferred

• Associate degree or technical/trade school certification.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Epicor, Infor, etc.).
