Job Description

Business Overview

Our client is a fast-growing, multi-location building materials distributor with over $100M in annual revenue. Known for its high-integrity leadership, customer-first culture, and operational excellence, the company supports both commercial and residential markets. Backed by strong year-over-year growth, the organization continues to expand market share through focus on service, safety, and performance.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Branch Manager to take the reins of a thriving $15M operation in one of Montana's most desirable markets. This is more than a management role, it's a genuine leadership opportunity with full P&L ownership, direct mentorship from the company's founder, and real runway to grow sales while driving operational performance.

You'll lead a team of approximately 25 across sales, delivery, and warehouse operations, managing everything from customer relationships to fleet logistics to margin optimization. The ideal candidate is an experienced building materials professional who brings both operational discipline and sales instincts, someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is energized by the chance to make a measurable impact on a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L Leadership: Manage $15M location with full accountability for maintaining and improving profit margins while driving sales growth
  • Team Development: Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team of 25 across sales, delivery, and warehouse operations
  • Sales & Operations: Drive revenue growth while maintaining operational excellence across facility management, inventory, logistics, and customer service
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain visible, accessible leadership with contractor customer base and build strong presence in the local building materials community
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work directly with company founder on strategic initiatives while contributing to shared best practices across the organization
  • Technical Excellence: Apply strong technical aptitude for building materials products, applications, and contractor service expectations
