Job Description

Shelco, LLC is one of the largest and premier Commercial General Contractors in the Southeast. Our Superintendents are one of the most important Team Members we have and are a vital part to the success of every one of Shelco’s projects. We are looking for driven individuals that want to be a part of the Shelco Team.

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent in our Charlotte office to oversee our construction projects. We are specifically looking for a Superintendent that has the following experience:

QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Construction as Lead Superintendent.

· Ability to read and understand Contract Documents including blue prints, specifications, shop drawings, etc.

· Knowledge of OSHA requirements and ability to enforce them.

· Understanding of project schedules and critical path activities.

· Understanding of multiple trade coordination.

· Ability to perform layout of footings, walls, etc.

· Strong communication skills to define and solve problems with the Subcontractors, Designers and Client representatives.

· Ability to access all parts of the on-site project for inspections including climbing ladders, wearing fall protection harnesses, etc.

· Oversee all aspects of field quality control plans to verify compliance with documents, building code and industry standards.

· Ability to provide daily reports documenting construction progress.

· Ability to supervise multiple persons and companies and create a Team environment.

· Head the subcontractor coordination meetings in a productive manner.

· Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

Our Field Team is tasked to oversee the construction projects while managing project personnel, subcontractors and vendors. Our Superintendents represent Shelco by building our client relationships by having daily interaction with our Developers, Tenants, Owner Representatives, Architects, Engineers and Inspectors.

We are looking for positive Team Members that will manage daily operations, project scheduling, problem solving, safety and caring for the overall health of the project.
