Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Queens, NY

Salary + Benefits: $95,000–$100,000 annually

Responsibilities of Psychiatric Registered Nurse

  • Work directly with patients on health maintenance, illness prevention, and case management
  • Provide patient education related to physical health, nutrition, activity, and mental wellness
  • Collaborate with Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and clinical staff to supportiindividualized treatment plans
  • Conduct counseling and therapeutic interactions under provider guidance
  • Perform community-based field work as part of a multidisciplinary care team
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system
  • Participate in team meetings, quality performance initiatives, and monthly chart reviews
  • Oversee nursing interventions and ensure continuity of nursing care
  • Address both physical and mental health concerns in coordination with providers
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency support when necessary

Requirements of Psychiatric Registered Nurse:

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred
  • Prior community or field-based psychiatric nursing experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
