Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: South Holland, IL

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: CFO / COO

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Position Overview

They are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support continued growth by managing full-cycle recruiting and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, job requirements, and success criteria
  • Create, update, and post job descriptions across internal and external recruiting platforms
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and community outreach
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and evaluate candidate qualifications
  • Coordinate and participate in interviews, ensuring timely scheduling and consistent communication

Offer & Onboarding Support

  • Prepare and extend employment offers in coordination with leadership
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding documentation
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation scheduling

Employer Branding & Recruitment Strategy

  • Support recruiting process improvements to enhance candidate quality and reduce time-to-fill
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, workforce development events, and community recruiting initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to continuously improve hiring strategies and candidate engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of recruiting or HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions while meeting deadlines
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of Illinois labor laws and recruiting compliance
  • HR certifications (SHRM, PHR/SPHR, CSP) are a plus

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $90,000 – $105,000 annually
  • Salary range applies to this position based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
